How to link Aadhar with State Bank of India (SBI) and Axis bank

Linking your Aadhar number with your SBI account and getting the LPG subsidy directly to your bank is now easy - you can complete the linking procedure online. Earlier, it was a lengthy process to get them all linked, which includes going to LPG distributor, filing a Aadhar linking form, then going to the bank and repeating the same etc. In my own experience, I did this multiple times but the linking never happened.

Step by step instructions to link Aadhaar number with SBI

Step 1: Login to your SBI online account.
Step 2: Under "My Accounts" menu, look at the links on the left panel. Towards the end of the option links, you will see two options named "Link your Aadhaar Number" and "Link your LPG Customer ID". Click on the "Link your Aadhaar Number

Step 3: You will be produced to select your bank account number and enter your Aadhar number. Provide the details and click on "Submit" button.

Step 4: You will get an OTP (One Time Password) by SMS from your bank. Enter this code in the next screen.

Step 5: Once you submit the one time password, you will get a confirmation by SMS as well as on the screen.

You are done with the Aadhaar registration. Now wait for the bank to process your request and you will get the status updates on your phone by SMS.
